HOW IT'S DONE
Step 1: Complete Required Education
Enroll in The Appraisal School's Real Estate Appraisal Course - This course satisfies 150 hours of required study. (Refer to our Course Info section for a list of classes, contents, pricing and scheduling). Complete assignments and pass the final exam. Schedule a test date with the state - We'll show you how it's done.
Review your state exam prep materials (included with your course).
Step 2: Register for the Appraisal Exam
Submit a completed Appraisal Examination Application along with copies of your certificates showing completion of the required 150 hours of education, and your application fee.
Step 3: Pass the Exam
Remember to bring a photo ID, your social security number, and your testing fee.
Step 4: Apply for Your License
After passing the appraisal examination, you will be sent an Appraisal License Application. Within one year of the examination date this form must be completed and returned along with your issuance fee.
All license applicants must submit proof of legal presence in the United States (i.e., birth certificate, resident alien card, etc.)
